Mrs. Wilhelmy

Who is Mrs. Wilhelmy?

I am a wife, a mom, and a teacher.  I am married to Kensington 4th grade teacher, Mr. Wilhelmy and together we are parents to  four children (and two pups).    We enjoy each moment of our time as a family. My hometown is Rochester, NY.  but  Lakewood is home to our family now, and Rocky River is equally important in our lives.

 During the school day I am so fortunate to  be able to have fun learning from and with the children of  Room 205.  We laugh, solve problems, and sometimes create a few new ones together.

The greatest accomplishment in our classroom each day is when a student realizes that he or she just did something that was once thought impossible.  I promise to push, but not break. I promise to be firm, yet kind.  I promise to see the beauty in the eyes and hearts of each third grader of Room 205. I promise to listen to more than  words, and expect that our classmates do the same for each other.  I promise to have fun because if learning isn't fun, we aren't doing it right.  

I love appreciating and making art, Roald Dahl, Swedish pancakes with berries, Katherine Hepburn, Nancy Drew, Miles Davis, e.e. cummings, snow, Pippi Longstocking, creative solutions,  watching a great hit/pass/ 3 point shot/stride/or slide, traveling to new places, spending time with my family, and trying new things.   I love watching my own children grow and my school children achieve the impossible.
