Switchover Instruments

Any student doing an instrument change to a switchover instrument (oboe, bassoon, french horn, tuba) MUST take private lessons as well as get permission from Mrs. Baiera and their parents! 

• Private lessons are a requirement of changing instruments.  The school provides these instruments, so you do not need to rent these, but may need to purchase supplies for them like reeds (oboe/bassoon).

Please note that Percussion is NOT a switchover instrument.  

Per the RRMS Band Handbook: 

Any instrument changes are at the discretion of the director.  Students are not permitted to change to percussion after fifth grade.
