Monday: Read All About Me!: Your child will bring in the attached form filled out to be read to the class. I will keep this form to be included in your child’s end of the year Memory Book!
Tuesday: Photos: Have your child pick four or five photos to share with the class. The pictures will be displayed and returned at the end of the week.
Wednesday: Parent Letter: Parents, you will write a letter to the class telling how special your child is to you. Send the letter in a sealed envelope to school with your child, and I will read the letter to the class during our Opening Activities. The content of the letter is up to you, but you may want to choose from one of the following ideas: describe a special or funny stories about your child for the class to hear, write a silly or serious poem about your child, tell us some neat things we may not know about your child, send silly or special pictures with a letter describing the pictures, or write a short story with your child as the main character. You may also send a special video for the class to watch if you choose. (Some parents have taped messages or choose to send in a funny baby video for the class to see.) I will also keep the letter so that I can include it in your child’s end of the year Memory Book.
Thursday: Sharing Sack: Your child can choose 3 or 4 special items to be put into a sack from home and brought in on Thursday to share with the class. (Encourage your child to bring in 3 or 4 items that are meaningful to them!)
Friday: Star Student Book: Your child will be presented with a special class book that will be created by his/her classmates.
