I grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, and graduated from Strongsville High School. I attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where I graduated summa cum laude in 2002, majoring in early childhood (preK-3) education (as well as earning a K-12 reading endorsement) and minoring in music. I later earned my M.A. in educational technology in 2006 from Baldwin-Wallace College. I have taught reading intervention, second grade, and first grade for a total of twenty-two years of teaching experience. The 2025-2026 school year will be my eighteenth year teaching first grade in Rocky River. While I LOVE to teach, my outside hobbies include theatre, gardening, movies, and music. I have a five year old son who is the light of my life! I can't wait to meet another group of "firsties!"Â
