Through the Instructional Program we offer, the School Culture we build, the Systems of Support we design and the Family & Community Partnerships we form, Revere High School aspires to be an inclusive, multicultural community of continuous learners that prepares students to realize our Vision for them as Graduates.
This vision, collaboratively developed during SY2023, is that the RHS experience will prepare students to Innovate to solve complex problems; to Engage with their community; to Lead across difference; to Thrive, mentally, physically and financially; and to Succeed in meaningful post-secondary experiences. This Vision is an outline of the elements that our community has identified as most essential to student success including the academic knowledge, transferable skills, mindsets, and global competencies students must develop to thrive in college, careers, and an ever-changing world.
Revere High School students have opportunities to work towards this vision across their curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular school experiences. The Core Competencies outlined below are designed to create a universal language for teaching and learning that students, educators and other stakeholders can use to discuss the transferable skills students acquire across all of the experiences students have at Revere High School. Each of these Elements of the Vision of the Graduate is aligned to Future 9 Core Competencies - essential skill sets for future readiness. Each Core Competency consists of specific, research-informed skills, each with its own developmental progression that defines learning stages from novice to expert or professional.
