Here are some of the topics we've covered at Tech Tuesdays. Please come by or email me if you'd like me to give you a quick tutorial to see if there is something you'd like to try in the classroom.
WeVideo is a video editing software you can use to create professional looking videos. Engage students in their learning with WeVideo. Check out the example video I made using a Chromebook and WeVideo.
TED talks are a great way to spark meaningful class discussions. Use TEDEd to crop talks for your needs, add multiple choice and open ended questions, and connect students to related resources to deepen their learning OR discover a lesson already created! All lessons (even those already created) can be modified to fit your class.
If you're not using FLIPGRID yet, you should! This is a quick and easy way to have students respond to your questions using video. It's fun! Students and teachers love it! It's free!
KQEDs Above the Noise presents short videos on real topics relevant to our students. Explore controversial topics and engage your class in meaningful discussion.
Google Arts and Culture is one of the best resources around! Google has curated hundreds of collections and stories from around the world. Visit museums and landmarks using street view to show your students how your lessons relate to the world. This is also a marvelous way to take your students on virtual field trips.
I'd be happy to discuss practical ways you can incorporate Google Arts and Culture in your classroom (cause I love it!!!)
Pear Deck allows you to engage every student in active learning and it's built to work with Google Slides. This is a game-changer! See me with questions or for a tutorial. :)
