Howard Desselle IV holds a Bachelors of Music Education and a Masters of Music degree, both from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. He is also a graduate of the drumset department from the Atlanta Institute of Music.

Desselle formerly served as the Director of Percussion at Lafayette High School where, in 2011, the band was awarded as the class 3A Grand Champions as well as Grand National Finalist. He was also percussion specialist at Rockwall High School in Rockwall, TX, where in 2018 they qualified for the UIL 6A Texas State Marching Band Contest.

He has performed with the Rapides and Acadian Symphony Orchestras as well as played drumset in many bands throughout the Southern United States and Mexico.
