Fundraisers

The following list of major Phoenix fundraisers is provided to our stakeholders.

Phoenix T-Shirts and Sweatshirts are sold in August and/or September each year. The funds are used to support the Computer Lab through the purchase of licenses, software, and hardware.  Any remaining funds are used to upgrade technology throughout the school, as well as instructional supplies, maintenance supplies, school supplies, and staff incentives.

Box Tops for Education are collected every year by the librarian.  The funds raised through this program are used to support the library.

The PTO holds several fundraisers throughout the year. The funds are used to provide every Phoenix classroom with $150 each year to use for trophies and awards for each grade’s Awards Ceremony in May. They also provide funds for day-to-day school operations. The majority of this funding goes to the purchase of copy paper for machines. Other operational expenses vary - from buying supplies for a big PBIS party for the students – to the purchase of a few bags of sand at Lowe’s to “weight” the base of a basketball goal recently donated to our Kindergarten classes – to the acquisition of another wireless headset for P.E. teachers to use in the gym (when the old one broke) - and everything in between.  Finally, the Phoenix PTO provides funds for special projects - like helping the school to purchase Chromebook carts (portable computer labs) at $8,000 each - or the purchase of $17,500 worth of playground equipment.

15% of all fundraiser proceeds goes to teacher and staff appreciation.
