HI! My name is Mrs. Tammi Carlisle. I am the Upper Secondary Mathematics teacher at Bolton Academy. I have been at Bolton for quite some time. I am also a National Board Certified teacher.
I am not originally from the Central Louisiana Area. But I have lived here now long enough now to call this home.
You could say that my childhood hometown is Ruston, Louisiana. I began teaching in August of 1986, beginning in the small town of Kirbyville, Texas while living in Jasper, Texas. I married my college sweetheart, Richard Carlisle. After three years living in Jasper, Texas and teaching in Kirbyville, Texas, we moved back to Ruston, Louisiana. I then taught at Ruston Junior High for four years. I had a blast! Soon the company my husband worked for transferred him to a position in their New Orleans office and I taught in three of the schools in that area, as well as working on my Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In the summer of 2002, we officially moved to Alexandria and we have been here ever since. In Rapides Parish, I first worked at Tioga Junior High. Then I transferred to Bolton and have been here ever since.
We have a daughter. She is all grown up and has moved to Dallas. In addition to her, we have 2 kitties and a grand kitty (our daughter's cat). I love all animals, but for my schedule, it is much easier to have cats.
