Ostrich Group!

This week at Cherry Valley, the campers were able to meet their Media Arts teachers and get started on their first project. They are looking to the future, and creating a visual presentation of their future goals. The first step in the project is to either draw or paint the background of their visual. Next week, campers will have their photos taken in front of a 'green screen,' which will allow them to add that photo to their visual project. Keep your eyes open for these final projects, and for some 'in process' photos to be added to the site in the next few days.

The campers are working hard to create the background for their 'green screen' projects. After they draw their background with a pencil, they will trace it with a black marker.

Campers are having a blast being creative and finishing up their paintings so that they can take a picture in front of the green screen!

The staff from the Discovery Center have worked with our campers to create flying machines, and then the campers have been able to test their flying machines to see what flies. Check them out!

Our campers have worked for the last couple of weeks to create the background for their future goals, that they then used with the Green Screen app to layer in a photograph of themselves. Check these out!

Campers are exploring coding programs that will allow them to control robot movements and tasks. They think about what robots do now and what they can do in the future. Campers will then design a robot that will be able to help people with tasks.
