Cherry Valley Media Arts Gallery

Students have been learning and applying a variety of skills this summer, including photo editing, animation, coding, and digital storytelling through multi-media projects. We invite you to browse their work and join us in celebrating their creativity! Click the links below to view the projects created by each group within each grade level.

Every day the campers are offered breakfast and lunch prepared by this fantastic crew. Thank you so much for feeding us and for always having a smile for the kids and for the adults!

And.... that's a wrap! Enjoy the month of August everyone, and have a great school year!!

Staff from the Discovery Center have been showing the campers how to make flying machines, and then took them to the gym to fly their creations. So cool! (members of the Puppy group - 1st grade)

Our campers have been working on some fun projects during their Arts Integration time. Check them out! (members of Rhino and Narwhal groups - 4th grade)

Friday morning, 3 boys jumped to action and held the door open as their fellow campers came in to school from their buses. We love the example that they are setting for their classmates, as well as their servant hearts!

After the campers drew the background for their future pictures, the Media Arts teachers took their photo in front of the Green Screen.

In Language Arts, campers have been reading about Wangari Maathai in Planting the Trees of Kenya by Claire A. Nivola. They read the story as a class, reread it with a partner, and worked to identify verbs in the book. (members of the Rhino group - 4th grade)

Our campers are keeping active with the help of SportsFit from the Rockford Park District. They are usually outside playing basketball or football, but can adapt and move to the gym when the weather doesn't want to cooperate.

Kindergarten campers are growing their artistic skills in Media Arts!
