Dr. Dana Hazzard

Hello! I am Dr. Dana Hazzard, an English and English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Sunrise Mountain High School.  I am a lifelong learner myself, and I find that studying Korean and Spanish helps me appreciate different cultures and perspectives. This, in turn, helps me create meaningful lessons for my students.

Aside from teaching, I am deeply interested in the impact of technology on language learning and education. That's why I actively research and integrate digital literacy in my lessons. Technology has the power to enhance language learning, but it must be balanced with hands-on activities and real-life experiences. Currently, I am researching how AI tools can benefit education. 

When I'm not in the classroom or buried in research, you can find me playing with my two dogs and two cats
