About

Mme. Michaelson

I have always loved the French language. I first started learning French in kindergarten and continued my studies all throughout school. When I was 17, I moved to Nice, France and lived with a French host family and attended a French high school for six months. After only three months of full immersion in the language, I became fluent. Upon returning to the U.S., I began my studies at DePaul University where I majored in Political Science and minored in French. Prior to becoming a French teacher, I served as a French interpreter for a human rights organization assisting refugees and asylum seekers from all over the world. I receieved my Master's degree in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University and have taught all levels of French from pre-school through high school.
