Individual actions may seem insignificant, but they matter.
Writing, sending, reading, storing emails all use energy.
This energy comes from burning fossil fuels which releases greenhouse gases.
Our average email traffic is equivalent to driving 10-128 miles in a car.
Emails are stored in data centres which require energy.
Actions:
Set a target and take action this evening or tomorrow - e.g. spend 25 minutes OR 50 emails and DELETE emails that you don’t need to keep.
Avoid sending long emails.
Send links to files instead of attachments.
