Financial Assistance

Over $2.5 million in financial assistance is given out each year.

Families with annual adjusted gross incomes of up to $85,000 may qualify.

One simple call to WorldStrides Customer Service (800-468-5899) can tell you how much assistance may be available even before registering for the trip. (FLAG Financial Assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis.)

Student driven fundraiser where 100% of the money raised goes to offset the trip price.

Affordable Payment Plans

Pay a small initial deposit to sign up for the trip. Set up auto-deductions from your account saving you time and money.

Full Refund Program

Full Refund Guarantee Program (Trip Insurance):

$185
You must opt out during registration if they don’t want it.
You have 14 days after registering to add it.
You can remove it within 24 hours of registration.
If you cancel at least 24 hours before departure, you'll receive a full refund (minus applicable fees).

Standard Cancellation Policy (Without Insurance):

More than 75 days before departure: 25% of base trip price deducted (minimum \$120 if trip is \$400+)
45–74 days before departure: 50% of base trip price deducted
44 days or fewer before departure: 100% of base trip price deducted

Youth Assistance Support

Local Youth Assistance agencies offer Skillbuilding scholarships to families that qualify. Please see the ROYA website for the Skillbuilding application: https://royaloakyouthassistance.com/our-programs

Note: families residing outside of Royal Oak will be assisted in applying for funds through their local YA. Complete the Skillbuilding application and submit to ROYA or to Samantha Ellis at ROMS.
