7th/8th Grade Team

Royal Oak Middle School 7th/8th grade team is a competitive swim program based around giving the fundamentals for developing swimmers to advance to high school swim. We practice 5 days a week with a mixture of training. Unfortunately due to the high number of participants and the limited number of spots there will be tryouts.

What to expect:

ROMS swim is a fun, competitive atmosphere with lots of experiences and memories' made weekley! As a member of the ROMS swim team we expect you to work/train hard but we always leave room for fun on Fridays! Each day you can expect to learn and develop skills that will translate to your high school career as we work closely with the high school staff as well having members of the ROHS swim team on deck helping at every practice .

First Practice:

When they enter they will get attendance and check registration status. They will then be introduced to the staff and be assigned a lane. Swimmers need to bring their own Towel, Googles, Water bottle and suit.

Time Trials:

Time trials will be at the end of the first week. Spots will be determined by the students eligibility, Academics, behavior and time. Each year the number of kids in the team verys but does not exceed 60. The team is posted on Monday outside of the gym and the pool doors.
