Introduction

This is the on-campus makerspace of Royal Holloway, so we learn and build, then trial and error, then again. 

We enable people on campus with tools, space and skills to exact their electronic and fabrication related creativity. With 3D printing available to all members & workshops, we bring aspects of engineering to everyone, not just people going doing the degree. 

We work alongside the Electronic Engineering Department & Institute of Engineers to provide many opportunities. 

With our membership, you can...

• Access the EE department's electronics & PC labs anytime within our access hours

• Access and use a vast majority of EE equipment & power tools after training

• Learn programming, electronics, Arduino, CAD skills, and more in our workshops

• Request your own designs to be 3D printed our laser-cutted ("Large Print Charge" may be extra charged)

• Participate in internal and external events

• Soldering

• Circuit Programming

• Robotics / Control Engineering

• CAD - 3D & 2D Modelling

• CAM - 3D Printing & 2D Laser Cutting

The Makers' Society has 2 types of membership, for our standard student membership, it is:

• £7 for term 1

• £8 for term 2&3

And for our associate membership, it is: 

• £8 for term 1

• £9 for term 2&3
