1974
Dave Bennett (Class 1974) of rushed for 2,766 yards as a Gael, good for second all-time in the 101 year history of Roxbury football. He was a first All Morris County, All Group 3 and all-State selection in both 1972 and 1973, and won the Morris County scoring title in 1973. In his career, the Gaels compiled 16-2 record, defeating opponents by an average of 24 points per game. He went on to play football at the University of Wyoming.
1974
Len Perfetti (Class of 1974) was a captain and first team all-Morris County and all-Group 3 selection for the 1973 Iron Area Conference champion Gaels. He went onto play collegiately at the University of Delaware, where his 1977 senior season was cut short upon being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Sadly, he lost his courageous battle with cancer a little over a year later at the age of 22. His character and dedication are remembered through the Perfetti Memorial Award at the end of each football season, the most prestigious award bestowed to a player.
1998
Karl Nonemaker (Class of 1998) was an all-Morris County and All-State outfielder in both 1996 and 1997, Nonemaker was also named an Honorable Mention on the 1997 USA Today All-American Team. As a sophomore, he broke the New Jersey single season hits record with 62. He graduated from Roxbury with the Morris County career hits record at 162, and graduated Vanderbilt University as the baseball program’s all-time hits leader in 2002. Karl was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Amber Williams (Class of 2001) was the first Gael to win a Meet of Champions event in back to back years, winning the 100-meter titles in both 2000 and 2001 and was named to the All-State Team both years. In winter track, she was the 2001 National Champion in the pentathlon event at the National Scholastic Championship, and earned All-State and USA Today all-American status. Amber went on to become a collegiate all-American for the Miami Hurricanes, where she still holds the all-time record in 2 events.
1958-1967
Coach Mirshak (1958-1967) was the head coach of the Roxbury wrestling team for nine years. Over that span, his teams had a record of 75-29-2. In 1962 and 1965, his teams finished as Jersey Hills Conference Champions, and won the school’s first district title in 1962. The Gaels finished 21-2 during his final two years of coaching and were Iron Area Conference Champions both years. Coach Mirshak’s coached two state champions, L. Bill Henderson in 1965 and Bruce Canfield in 1966.
1973
The ‘73 Gaels under head Coach Jim Fiorello went 8-1. Led by an explosive offense and a tough defense, the players dominated the local gridiron. Only 22 points were scored on them the entire season and six teams were shut out completely. On offense, they amassed over 200 points. Standouts on the team were Len Perfetti, Dave Bennett, Mike Roy and Mike Ventura.
