- All books are due on the next library day which is typically one week from the check out date.
- Students may renew books they are still reading.
- Once a student has reached his/her checkout limit, books must be returned to check out new books.
- For example: a child who has two books checked out and only returns one may only check out one new book.
- If a student for gets all of his/her books, he/she will be allowed to check out as soon as the books are returned. The practice of being responsible for library books will help students learn and refine the skills of self-organization and responsibility.
- Extra checkout (visiting the library outside of a scheduled class time) is welcomed and encouraged with the classroom teacher's permission. This is a great way to foster the love of reading!
There are no fines for overdue books. However, if a book is severely damaged or lost, you will be asked to pay the replacement cost of the book.
