ROWVA's 5th and 6th Grade Project Base Learning Amazon River Basin Project

The students were given a lesson Playlist for each Stage- The playlist explained what was expected for each team and several Google resources to explore.

Course Goal: Students will expand their computer skills by collaborating in online communities, developing confidence and skills to produce authentic projects to connect with the world around them.

Learning Goals: Learners will evaluate technology uses to become active participants by creating authentic experiences and embrace significant learning environments as learners and coaches. Application- Learners will explore and evaluate technology resources and technology communities as they connect formal learning in school and with informal learning in their lives. Human Dimension/Caring- class-wide discussions, reflections, and teamwork will be used to make connections during the exploration of the online communities.

As the project moved on and we had an extremely harsh winter - the course was adjusted. Free Lance jobs and projects were added. This allowed each students embrace their own learning.
