How to Join

Students can apply to join TSA in May for the following school year.  Multiple notifications will be sent out to both current and new incoming students.

TSA is competitive. There are only 25 spots for the school. Most successful 6th grade applicants will be on the "Practice Squad" their first year. They will have a mentor and be invited to some meetings, but not compete at States. This puts them in a prime position to transition to full membership the following year.

TSA is not for everyone. Members will be exposed to dangerous tools, work on complex student-led projects, and be expected to navigate a large state conference with minimal guidance. It requires extraordinary commitment, responsibility, independence, behavior, and resilience. The candidates who best show these qualities on their applications will make the team.
