Hello Students and Families!

My name is Heidi Choi, and I am the 7th & 8th grade Counselor at Oswalt and Ybarra Academy. This is my 7th year with RUSD, and I feel so honored that I get be a part of this team to serve all of you. Middle school years can be quite challenging for students (and parents) and I am here to help students navigate through those challenges. My role as a School Counselor is to help students succeed in the following domains: academic, personal/social development, and college and career exploration. I look forward to getting to know each of you and having an amazing school year!

Google Classroom:

It is important that all students join my Google Classroom! This is where I will be posting important announcements relevant to each grade level. For 7th graders, in the spring, I post the elective form, due dates, and reminders. For our 8th graders, I post information regarding high school registration and when our high school counselors will be coming to register students for their classes for next Fall.
