Events Coordinator
a. Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee (chaired by the President-Elect) shall call for nominations during the March meeting or via email in April of each academic year. Only active members that have accepted their nominations shall be placed on the ballot. The Nominating committee shall host elections at the April chapter meeting each academic year followed by the announcement of incumbent officers.
b. Technical Committee
The Technical Committee shall coordinate all events relating to technical lectures, scientific trainings, symposiums, or other scientific speakers including but not limited to the reservation of accommodations, solicitation of funds, and coordination of invited speakers.
c. Finance Committee
The Finance committee shall be responsible for generating revenue for the support of the chapter’s programs via fund-raising, sponsorships, and partnerships within the community and at institutions. The Finance Committee shall be in compliance when soliciting funds with the Rowan University SGA and National NOBCChE.
d. Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations committee shall be responsible for publicizing all local, regional, and national activities; shall sponsor membership drives; and shall encourage participation in local, regional, and national meetings. The committee shall generate flyers for upcoming events, maintain the Rowan University chapter website and the social media (i.e., Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook) presence of the chapter.
e. Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee shall be responsible for the development of programs related to the preparation of students for the next phase in their career and life skills relevant to all individuals.
f. Outreach Committee
The outreach committee shall coordinate outreach and philanthropic endeavors directed towards the community. Such activities shall take place at least twice per semester.
g. Social Committee
The Social committee shall coordinate all extraneous chapter activities (game night, meet and greets, etc.) and furnish non-alcoholic beverages and refreshments for chapter meetings (budget permitting).
