Each Table in the country is assigned a number, Hornsey is number 72. We were invited by Vise Round Table, in Belgium, to a numbers weekend. All Round Tables who are the number 72 were invited, we met up with the Danish, Finnish, Dutch and of course the Belgian Tables.
Vise tablers hosted us in their homes and we had an amazing weekend, meeting other tablers and consuming all the beers in Belgium. In the summer of 2024, we welcome the same group and others to London!
One of our members showing the Belgians how we do it at Hornsey!
We have been around various parts of North London spreading Christmas cheer! This is one of our favourite charity events, we are able to not only bring a smile to the faces of the local children (and adults), but also to raise money for a chosen charity. This year we chose to raise money for Hornsey Food Bank, raising just over £1,200!
We welcomed and inducted Andy to the group! Welcome Andy!
Clay's Virtual clay pigeon shooting in Moorgate.
A chance to discuss upcoming numbers weekend and define the roles and responsibilities of Round Table.
Great fun, playing snooker and pool with some prospective members!
Making Bambi look look like a figure skating Olympian..
A visit to the Metro Golf Centre to test out our golfing skills. A good fun evening that had some friendly competition, of course. That said, I don't think you'll seen any of us on tour anytime soon!
We welcomed and inducted Nick to the group! Welcome Nick!
We inducted and welcomed new member, Oliver! Welcome, Oliver!
Some of the guys at a free comedy night in The Camden Head Pub in Angel.
Running the bar at Hoddesdon Fireworks this year at North Weald Airfield.
A crash course in British Sign Language, certainly eye opening.
Putting our knowledge to the test and somehow we won the jackpot!
A bespoke cocktail making masterclass, we learnt lots... and paid for it the next day!
We went to watch The Hundred Cricket at Lord's... though if we are being honest I don't think any of us could tell you what the final results were or who won. We had fun though, so the result is irrelevant.
At our Lawn Bowls activity, we inducted Joseph as our newest member! Welcome, Joseph!
Chairman of Vise Round Table visited London for a conference and met with one of our members for dinner and a few beers of course!
This is one of the best things about being a member of Round Table, wherever you go, there is always someone who you can go for a beer with, someone to show you the sights and give you local recommendations. Even if you are abroad, you can always contact the local Table and join them for one of their meetings!
