Please have a pencil and your ISN (Interactive Science Notebook) in class everyday. If you must borrow a pencil from the teacher please return it by the end of class.
YOU WILL HAVE HOMEWORK!
We are simply not able to cover all the material solely during class time so…
HOMEWORK IS VERY IMPORTANT!
Not completing homework will mean that you are not prepared for the lab, activity, or material that is planned for the next day and sometimes you may have to miss an activity until your homework is completed.
There will be 10 points deducted for each day your homework is late. After three days only a max grade of a 50 can be awarded.
**No partial or late credit can be given for any assignment that was graded and reviewed in class when it was turned in unless the student was absent. **
Zeros are not permitted. Missing assignments will be completed in Mandatory Tutoring with the teacher for a max grade of a 70. Assignments will not be allowed to be a zero. Assignments will be done or additional alternative assignments may be provided and completed in tutoring for any assignment that is a zero.
Viewing power point presentations and answering questions, vocabulary work, projects, take home quizzes, viewing educational videos, practice problems, completing vocabulary projects, and creating study tools are some of the items that may be assigned to be done at home so that there will be class time for the rest of the material!
Please keep a set of markers, colored pencils, regular pencils, glue or tape, and scissors at home so you can be successful on your projects and and various homework assignments.
Our class rules are very simple, be prepared, be respectful, and raise your hand to comment. Students who are off task, or disrupting the learning environment, not allowing instruction to continue, or interfering with the learning of others will receive a consequence. Consequences may be issued in any order depending on the nature and severity of the infraction: Consequences may include....
