As most events will have limited availability, we will assign competitions to individuals/groups based on their past HOSA history. The order of priority goes as follows: ILC qualifiers, State qualifiers, Area finalists, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen. Among people of the same level, we will be taking two factors into account-
We will be checking if you/your group obtained the necessary fundraising points from the previous year. If you signed up for an individual event and did not complete your points the previous year, you will be moved LAST in the priority level among all grade levels if your fundraising point was not completed. If you signed up as a group, we will see which members of all groups did not completed their fundraising points from last year.
If all parties/individuals among the same grade level have completed the necessary fundraising points from the previous year, we take into account whoever signed up for the event first. The person that signed up first will have priority over the other groups if everyone has completed their fundraising point.
**IF YOU ARE AN INCOMING FRESHMAN OR NEW TO HOSA, PLEASE DISREGARD NUMBER 1**
Every member can only compete in ONE EVENT. However, there are certain recognition events that you may participate in concurrently with your event. For more information, get in touch with an officer, or shoot us an email!
If you have any more questions or concerns, come talk to us!
**PLEASE NOTE THAT PAST HISTORY DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY OR AN EVENT (EXAMPLE- MAKING ILC FOR AN EVENT A CERTAIN YEAR DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE GUARANTEED THAT EVENT THE NEXT YEAR).**
