When new students arrive, we test students language levels, work with counselors in designing their schedules, show them how school is done at Westwood. Within the first 20 school days, we meet in a committee to determine if students qualify to be in the ESL program and what supports they will need in the class to be successful.
We also monitor students' success. When students struggle and need added support, we meet as a team and look to see how a student can be best supported to success.
