FAQs

-When can I join ASLHS?

You may apply to be in ASLHS your second semester of ASL 2. Your application will be reviewed and you will receive your acceptance letter no later than the end of February.

-What are the requirements to join ASLHS?

You must have an overall GPA of 3.2, and in all ASL classes you must have a 3.5 GPA.

You must be in an ASL class.

$10 dues must be submitted at the point you are accepted.

-What are the requirements to remain a member in good standing of ASLHS?

You must complete a minimum of 5 hours of community service before you graduate.

Attend a minimum of 75% of the meetings.

Ensure dues are paid on time.

-What do I get if I'm in ASLHS?

If you are a member in good standing you can:

    • Compete in the ASLHS National Art Competition and ASLHS National ASL Literature Competition
    • Receive graduation honors from ASLHS
    • Apply for scholarships from the ASLHS
    • Put ASLHS on your resume and college applications

-What are the dues for ASLHS?

You must pay $10 the first year you join ASLHS and $5 every year. This pays for our field trips and graduation honors during your senior year.
