Hello Teravista Families!
I can't tell you how much I enjoy being a Tiger at Teravista! This school is the greatest, and I love being a part of your educational experience. I have been in education for 25 years serving as a first grade teacher, second grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, fifth grade teacher, art teacher, and school counselor. I received my undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and my graduate degree from Lamar University.
Personally, I am the mom to three sweet girls who are also a part of the RRISD family. In my off time I really enjoy being outside either hiking, camping, or swimming. I love to paint and make sculptures in my studio as often as I can. I also am an avid reader, although listening to audiobooks is another past time. If I am not doing any of those activities previously listed, than you will find me tinkering around the house. I am a great practitioner of the DIY movement.
Hi! My name is Jennifer Wood and I am overjoyed to be a part-time counselor here at Teravista. I will be on campus Tuesday, Wednesday, and in the morning on Thursday.
I grew up in Temple and attended University of Texas at Arlington for undergrad and Lamar University for my master's in School Counseling. This is my 11th year in education, and I have previously taught third, fourth and seventh grade and have substitute taught at all grade levels.
I live in Round Rock with my husband Kevin and our daughter, Elise. In my free time I love to spend time with family, read, travel, and exercise.
I was previously the half-time school counselor at Teravista prior to 2020. I look forward to being back on campus getting to know and supporting all of you!
