About Me

Hi, I am Angela Stearman. This is my seventh year at Walsh Middle School. I am very excited to see some familiar faces. It will also be fun to meet all of the new Walsh students, parents and faculty members!

It is my goal to share my knowledge and experiences with each and every student I meet.

Teaching is actually my second career, and it is something I've always wanted to do. So, every year of teaching is a dream-come-true. No matter how long I teach, I want to remember the excitement that I felt during my first days in class.

My first career was in high-tech. I have worked for Intel, Marvel and AMD. During my career, I was responsible for managing multi-million dollar financials, pricing, contracts, projects and acquisitions. I managed a staff of 3-5 highly intelligent and motivated individuals.

While I am proud of all of my accomplishments, I am most proud of the training and mentoring I provided to other professionals. I believe strongly in mentor-ship and view my role as teacher to be that of a mentor.

On a personal note...

I am married to Greg. My sons are Jared (22) and Ryan(28), who both attended RRISD. I have a cat, Charley and four dogs, Jack, Sam, Mal and Obi. My favorite movie is Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. I love, love to read, so I have too many favorite books to list here. And, my fondest wish is to be a powerful Jedi, or princess of Alderaan or galactic smuggler.
