Students will find their French course in Schoology with assignments, daily grades, and resources. Your official grades will be found in Home Access Center (HAC) and updated weekly on Monday mornings.

Practicing French is homework in French.
A student who does not finish the posted
daily assignment during class has additional homework.

TARDY – If you are tardy to class, it will be recorded in HAC. We will follow Hopewell’s tardy policy.
ABSENT – First, “Oui!” you missed something important. We are always learning! Assignments are posted in Schoology and it is your responsibility to complete any missed assignment within 2 days of your absence. If you miss REVIEW day, you are still expected to take the test on the assigned date. If you miss TEST day, I will try to get you to take it during class the next day or on the next available tutorial day. Be ready!
LATE WORK – On all assignments, students will have the opportunity to turn in late assignments until 3 days before the end of the 9 weeks grading period and for a maximum score of a 70.
RETESTING – You may retake a test that is lower than a 70.

1. BE READY! This means arriving to class on time with all necessary materials including a charged Chromebook. Bring your charger to school EVERYDAY!
2. PARTICIPATE! Participate in all speaking, listening, reading, writing & culture activities. *Challenge yourself to speak French as much as possible. Mistakes are proof that you are trying!
3. RESPECT! Show respect to yourself, peers, staff & school property.
4. LAUNCH PHRASE! Stay in your seats until I dismiss you with our launch phrase ( Merci pour votre attention! À demain!). The bell DOES NOT dismiss the class!
5. ELECTRONICS! No cell phones are to be used by students unless they have Mme Jameson's permission. Students are only allowed to use Chromebooks for French during class. Use the device appropriately & only for the purpose of the lesson. All other times, we will follow HWMS’s policy.
6. ONLY WATER & A SMALL SNACK ARE ALLOWED DURING CLASS! Every student should have a water bottle. Students will only be allowed to eat a snack if they don't disrupt class and they clean up after themselves.
7. SOCIAL CONTRACT! Follow the class social contract.
