Most colleges and universities require students to have either an SAT or ACT score as part of their college admissions application. Students typically take these tests in the spring of their junior year and fall semester of their senior year.

RRISD offers the SAT free of change on a school day in March to students in the 11th grade.
Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch are eligible for up to two SAT and two ACT fee waivers to assist with testing fees. Please check with your counselor for a fee waiver.
