Self-Determination
Research shows that a student's life after high school will be greatly determined by the self-determination skills they develop. These skills empower students to have a "voice" in their lives and move to greater independence. Living a self-determined life means being capable and acting that way daily.
Self-Determination: "Acting as the primary causal agent in one's life and making decisions and choices regarding one's quality of life free from undue external influence or interference."
