About Mrs. Teal

Hi!  My name is Kim Teal, and I am now in my 20th year at Spicewood!  I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. Besides elementary Spanish, I have also taught Kinder, 1st grade, bilingual 3rd grade, and high school Spanish 1 and 2.  My husband Stephen is an Assistant Principal at Canyon Vista Middle School. Together we have 3 amazing kiddos.  Isaac is stationed at St. Edwards AFB in California where he works as a Meteorologist for the Air Force.  His wife Julia is a music teacher and an opera singer!  More importantly, they have an adorable little boy named James, our first grandchild!  Our daughter Jessa has a psychology degree from Concordia University and is married to Ryan, who is a software engineering lead for a company out of Dallas and is currently doing a lot with AI development.   They live in Hutto.   Joel, our youngest, graduated from Baylor and is pursuing his dream of being a writer and/or a professional pool player!   We also have a very spoiled dog named Lucy.   

Together with my colleagues, I have enjoyed developing the Spanish curriculum that is now used in all PYP schools in RRISD.  Teachers from other districts across Texas (and even other states) also benefit from the fruits of our labors.
