Students who are interested in taking dual credit courses should review the information below. The steps listed will walk you through the process to become eligible to register. Please contact your counselor if you have any questions.
You will only need to complete Step 6 (submit the Google Form). Please upload your Math score report (if you are taking a course that requires a passing Math score and you have not previously submitted it).
Juniors in OnRamps English III who would like to take D/C English in their Senior Year will need to complete the ACC New Student Steps and submit the Checklist Form.
You will not have to submit test scores. You are required to submit your UT Austin transcript to the ACC Admissions Office. Please note that you must accept the college credit for both semesters of OnRamps English to be eligible to take Dual Credit English IV.
See below (Step 5) to review the testing requirement. Testing exemptions are also listed. Please note that you must have the required college readiness scores to be eligible to take Dual Credit classes. Keep this in mind when developing your plan to complete the multiple-step process.
The following deadlines have been established by RRISD and ACC. Please make sure all of the required steps are completed by the following dates. We are unable to make exceptions.

The Student Information Sessions are a great opportunity to learn all about the process to take dual credit courses. We will review the various steps and also share helpful information about what to expect when you take a dual credit course. Although not required, students are strongly encouraged to attend one session. All sessions will take place in the 1100 Lecture Hall.

Go to https://admissions.austincc.edu/new-student-application/ to begin the enrollment process.
Set up an application account by clicking First Time Users Click Here.
Note: This is not your ACC application. You must complete this step before moving on to the actual application.
Locate the Dual Credit box and click on Apply Now!
Input and confirm your personal and demographic information, followed by searching for and selecting your high school, and inputting your start & end dates (i.e. when you started and when you will graduate).
Make sure to click Review on the Certification & Signature page, and then click Confirm to submit.
Within 24 hours (excluding weekends/holidays), you will receive a confirmation email at the address provided on the application containing your ACCeID and instructions on how to activate your ACCeID account and online tools. Keep your ACCeID and password somewhere safe and accessible.

You will need to upload the Orientation Completion Email in Step 6 so please make sure you complete the assessment (example below).
Failure to complete the orientation and assessment quiz will result in a registration hold!
Students taking dual credit courses must meet college readiness standards by taking the TSI test. It will be administered at RRHS, or students can choose to take it at ACC. There are testing exemptions (please see below).
TSI Passing Scores (after January 11, 2021)
ELAR - 945 and an Essay Score of 5 OR < 945 with a Diagnostic Level of 5 or 6 and an Essay Score of 5
Math - 950 or < 950 with a Diagnostic Level of 6

Please complete the registration form to take the TSI test at RRHS. Space is limited, so please sign up early. Details about the testing day will be emailed to registered students. Please email Mr. Allen Stewart, Assistant Principal, with any TSI questions.

1) Submit an ACC Admissions Application and get your ACC eID (included in the Welcome/Next Steps email)

You will need to upload a copy of your SAT, ACT, or TSI Score Report.
If you are a RETURNING student, you do not have to submit a score report that was previously submitted.
You must complete the following form to be entered on the campus Enrollment Spreadsheet used by ACC to determine eligibility and process students to be registration-ready.
You must be signed in to your Google account to access the forms below.
Important Notes:
After you submit your checklist and ACC processes the Enrollment Spreadsheet, you will be notified that you are registration-ready (you will also be notified if you have a hold).
You must meet the RRISD/ACC deadlines to be eligible to register.
All required documents must be uploaded to the Google Form to be eligible for registration.
Please note that it will take several weeks for your information to be processed. You will be notified if you have any holds and also when you are cleared to register.

Keep in mind that there are limited course offerings and high traffic on the first days of registration, so you need to be ready to register as soon as the window opens to improve your chances of getting into your preferred course selection.

Student Accessibility Services (Accommodations in Dual Credit Courses)
In order to receive accommodations at ACC, students must follow the proper steps to apply for accommodations with the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office prior to each semester of enrollment.
