This course teaches students to understand works of art within their historical context by examining issues such as politics, religion, patronage, gender, function, and the culture in which it was created. This course will also teach students techniques for the visual analysis of works of art.
Students have the opportunity to earn college credit for an elective class based on their performance on the AP Art History Exam in May.
