The third season of Panther Esports begins in August of 2022!
RMS Esports Program consists of a non-competitive Esports Club and several competitive teams playing Rocket League and Minecraft Capture the Wool. All members must have a signed permission slip and code of conduct on file to be able to participate.
RMS Esports Club will meet in Lab 514 on Thursday afternoons from 3:45 - 4:30 pm.
The Esports teams have the opportunity to play "Rocket League" and "Competitive Minecraft" in weekly matchups against other teams from throughout the United States. We hope to have several teams playing in each game in the Fall and in the Spring. The Fall season runs from September through December with playoffs of the top 64 teams in December. The spring season runs from January through March with playoffs of the top 64 teams in May. The teams will determine a practice time and schedule based on the league calendar.
At this time there is no cost to join Panthers Esports.
Rocket League does require students to have an account with Epic Games to play on the PC. No account is needed to play on the Ninentdo Switch.
Minecraft is played in the java version. Students can play with their own accounts or if available can play on one of the school's accounts.
Currently we have esport desktops and Nintendo switches on which to play. We will provide the Nintendo Switch basic joycons, and the game cartridge. However if you have a personal controller you would like to use, you are welcome to do so. We are not liable for anything you forget and leave in the lab.
