Rocket League Tryouts will be September 6th and 8th.
Minecraft Tryouts will be September 12th.
Tryouts for the Rocket League Teams will occur September 6th and 8th. We are hoping to have 2-4 teams playing this year. Prospective members will be required to attend a tryouts to participate in practice matches to help find the best combination of players for each team. PC players must have their own Epic Game accounts (created with parents) and know how to log into the accounts. Nintendo Switches will be provided for the console players.
We participate in the Middle School Esports League and follow their schedule for the Fall and Spring Majors. This allows us to play other middle schools from across United States and Canada. Rocket League Season is from September 12 - November 18th, Playoffs of the tops 64 teams will be November 28th - December 14th. Matches are 3v3 in a best of 5 series. Players are expected to attend one practice and one game a week. Players are also expected to be passing their classes in order to play.
Rocket League plays on the Esports PCs or on the Nintendo Switches. Each team will consist of 4 members that will rotate play in matches on games days. They will also choose a Game Captain that will help run practices and lead the team in matches.
Fall Tryouts for the Competitive Minecraft Teams will occur in mid September. We are hoping to have 1 or 2 teams this year playing Minecraft. Prospective members will be required to attend a few practice matches that week to tryout for the team and to find the best combination of players for each team. If players have their own Minecraft Java Accounts, they will be able to use those during team practice and play.
We participate in CompMC League which hosts a Capture the Wool maps and will follow their schedules for the Fall and Spring semesters. This allows us to play against other teams from throughout the central United States. Matches are 5 players verses 5 players in a best of 3 matchup. Players are expected to attend one practice and one game a week. Players are also expected to be passing their classes in order to play.
Each team will have 6 or 7 players that will rotate play during the matches. Each team will also elect a Game Captain that will help run practices and lead the team in matches.
