One of the most critical elements to success in any endeavor is being present.
Members should plan to attend all rehearsals and performances. This includes outside-of-school rehearsals, class rehearsals, sectionals, masterclasses, clinics, pep rallies, concerts, contests, and/or meetings. Events not required are labeled as "Optional" in parentheses.
The RMS Band follows the campus policy on what is considered an excused absence.
Excusal from any outside-of-class rehearsal must be approved through the RMS Band absence request form which is also found on the navigation bar of the band website. Absences from rehearsals must be requested at least 1 week in advance if they are not due to illness or family emergency.
Excusal from any performance must be approved through the RMS Band absence request form on the RMS Band Website. Absences from performances must be requested at least 1 month in advance if they are not due to illness or family emergency.
