From the Harp Studio of Mallory McHenry
Student Expectations
● Make lessons a priority and adhere to the attendance policy. Teachers must be notified of planned absences no less than
24 hours in advance, and in the event of sudden illness, parents must inform harp teachers directly via email, phone or text. If a
teacher is not notified of an absence on the day of a scheduled lesson, the teacher may choose to forfeit the lesson without a make-up and without a refund.
● Come to lessons with an open mind and a desire to learn.
● Have access to a teacher-approved harp for regular practice.
● Purchase required music and materials as required by Dr. McHenry, Dr. Pannetier, or Ms. Browne.
● Devote an appropriate amount of time to practicing each week and make progress on both solo and ensemble music.
● Listen to recordings of current repertoire and attend all performances.
● Notify your harp teacher of specific learning differences in order for lessons to fit your needs and for progress to be made.
