Ms. Charlesworth has been passionate about theatre for as long as she can remember! She grew up in the U.S. Virgin Islands and received her Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Vassar College in New York and her Masters in Education at Texas State University. She also studied at the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center and the St. Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy in Russia.
She has worked as a professional actor, teaching artist and educator in New York and Los Angeles and has happily called Austin home for almost a decade, where she has worked with many schools and theatres, including ZACH and the Paramount. She still performs occasionally, specializing in outdoor Shakespeare, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Nicholas, and two dogs, Tilly and Penny. She also loves baking gluten-free treats and reading YA novels and is even writing her own! Helping students find their voice, confidence and a sense of community on and off stage is her true purpose and joy.
