Hello!  My name is Kate Wood and I will be your child’s teacher for Math and Science this year.

This is my 13th year in education, and 11th year in Round Rock ISD.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, both dual language and general education.  I am excited to return to 5th grade this year!

I was born and raised in Austin, TX, and graduated from the Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA) in AISD.  For college, I went to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where I majored in Physics, Math, and Spanish.  I went on to obtain my Masters in Elementary Education, also from Vanderbilt.

In my spare time I love to play board games with friends, read, and spend time with my family.  I joined a women’s chorus last fall and am having fun singing with them.
