Meet Mrs. Ruplinger

Welcome to the Retrievers! I am so excited to explore, play, and learn with you this year!

This is my fifteenth year teaching and my third year at LME. I grew up outside of Boston; I attended Northwestern University in Chicago for my bachelor's degree and Bank Street College of Education in New York City for my master's degree. I am certified to teach kindergarten through sixth grade, and I have additional certifications in ESL and TAG.  I have taught pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in public schools, charter schools, and independent schools. My favorite grade out of all of them is first!

My family and I moved to Austin from the NYC area eight years ago. I have two children, a third grade daughter and a fourth grade son, who both attend LME. We also have two golden retriever dogs and two chickens. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, baking or cooking, doing yoga, and traveling. In addition, I love running long distances and hiking in Austin's many parks.

I strongly believe in the importance of play, inquiry, and exploration in education. Every child can succeed in, as well as love school. I strive to create a child-centered, inquiry-based, inclusive community in my classroom that celebrates our differences and facilitates the success of every child. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child!
