Grading Policy

Grading policy:

50% Formative (Quizzes

50% Summative (Tests)

Late Work Policy: On all assignments, students will be told in class that all assignments are due the day of the unit test. However, Hopewell's grading policy states that all students may turn in any assignment for the 9 weeks up until 3 days before the 9 week grading period ends.

Failing a Test, Quiz, and/or Assignments

If a student scores below a 70%, then they will have 5 days (1 school week) to retake or correct it for a max grade of a 70%. Homework can be corrected, but must be turned in by the day of the unit test (or 3 days before the 9 week grading period ends).

Important Note:

If there is no grade in the gradebook, it means that assignment is missing and counts as a 0. 0's in the gradebook will be changed once the student has turned in the assignment (up to 3 days before the 9 week grading period ends).
