Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from UCLA. Thoughts about my classroom from some of last year's parents.
I just want to let you know we appreciate you for all the support you have given K this year. This has been a big growth year for him and you have been a huge part of helping him become successful!
A few things that his dad and I have appreciated this year that you and your teaching style have given him is the exposure to theatre (Shakespeare), the drive for independence but also the support when needed. I can go on and on about why I think exposing him to Shakespeare is great but I will save you having to read it. You are a teacher that has expectations but also understands that these are young adults trying to figure life out and you allow for the opportunity to ensure success.
When I asked K to tell me 3 things he appreciated about you he said, “teaching Shakespeare,” “that you are kind,” and “that you are patient.”
Mr. Jeffrey is a one-of-a-kind teacher. From doing push-ups in class, as a fun consequence of mixing up his students names to bringing out the acting skills of your student by teaching them Shakespeare. You get the whole package.
He will definitely prepare your student for middle school, not only academically but also by increasing their confidence and setting high expectations. What frustrates him the most? No working technology! ;)
What makes his day? A day with a great behaving class and working technology of course :) We are counting our blessings to have such an awesome teacher for our 5th grader!
Expectations for Mr Jeffrey Class
- Your child will have a manageable and appropriate amount of daily homework
- Your child will come home excited about learning
- Your child will read books and books! This is a very good thing
- Your child will be treated like a young adult with expectations and responsibilities
- Your child will learn life lessons and good habits
Thank you for an excellent school year!
We can't thank you enough for everything you do for our kids!
You unfolded a special page of T’s academic and life skills which we didn't see or couldn't have done by ourselves.
It was a very special privilege to have T in your class. We are so proud and happy for the responsible, independent and talented young man you gave us back. He had been enjoying every minute he spent with you and his mates in your class. You have created such a special group of kids as they excited your class this year, and we are excited to see them grow together.
I hope T can continue to reach out to you for guidance when he faces challenges through out his new journey.
I am writing you today to share a special moment. My son received his first SPOT award at Hopewell from his TAG ELA teacher. I wanted to thank you for preparing him so well in 5th grade last year. You had a great positive influence on him and his academic performance. The ELA teacher even considered having him skip grades! That was a huge compliment. Thank you again and I hope this makes you feel proud as well.
Students preparing to go on stage at UT Winedale Theater. You don't have to be onstage to participate. You can be an assistant director.
