I look at myself to be positive and highly enthusiastic about attacking the daily challenge. I am married to a supportive and loving wife and have 5 children. My eldest 2 children are already into their adult lives. Shayna attends University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and is an Architecture major. My son Anthony is in the Air Force and is stationed in Abilene. My three youngest children attend Round Rock schools. I served five years in the United States Marine Corps as a radio technician, and I finished my career as the Color Sergeant for the I-MEF on Camp Pendleton. Born and raised in Detroit, I have lived in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, California, Virginia, and Hawaii prior to moving to Texas in 2010.
This is my ninth year teaching. Prior to becoming a 4th grade teacher, I also taught Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, 3rd, and 5th Grade. I believe in lifelong learning, and just completed the Educational Leadership Master's program at Texas State University. Work should be fun and challenging, and I attempt to create an environment of trust and meaningful relationships to support both social emotional and academic growth.
Please remember that I am just an email or phone call away if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your support and I look forward to working with you and your children this year!
