Welcome! I am so excited to meet you all. This is going to be a wonderful year full of fun and learning.
I have always known I wanted to be a teacher. I love to help others succeed and I love reading, writing, and Texas History. Being an ELAR/SS teacher at Patsy Sommer is a dream come true!
A few ways to describe me as a teacher are energetic, kind, and fair. I promise to always give you my 100% and to constantly be looking for ways to learn from my students to become a better teacher.
I can't wait to get started on our fun-filled learning adventure! We are going to work hard, but have fun at the same time. See you soon!

I am a proud Aggie - Whoop! I graduated from Texas A&M University with my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences - Early Childhood-6th Grade Education. I also received my Master's in Education - Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M in 2018. I have experience teaching in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade. This is my eighth year at Patsy Sommer Elementary teaching Language Arts and Social Studies (ELAR/SS), and my sixth year in 4th grade!
I believe that learning is a life-long adventure! I want to encourage my students to become life-long learners who are constantly seeking knowledge through experiences and learning opportunities. In my class, students will learn how to be compassionate, creative, and collaborative leaders.
