Stallion Expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Collaborative, and Always Do Your Best!Â
Students are expected to come to class each day ready to learn and actively participate across their day. I encourage students to follow the Stallion Expectations.
In our classroom we create a Treatment Agreement. The entire class (including the teacher) will sign the Treatment Agreement and it will get sent home for parents or guardians to sign as well. This agreement will be the guidelines and expectations set for all of the students and adults in the class.
If students are having difficulty following our expectations, they will receive a reminder from me of what is expected. After that, I will write a quick note in the child's planner. The student will be expected to explain with details what happened when they go home. I generally will not give a second warning for an old expectation such as: working wisely during independent work time.
Please understand that the majority of fourth grade behavior incidents are typical for students this age. If there is ever a time where a student's actions require more of my attention, I'll email or call you so you understand the details and we can work together in helping your child become more successful in the classroom. I don't email or call for all disruptions since often it is a minor infraction and easily controlled. However, if you have any questions about the incident please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
