DECA is an international nonprofit organization that prepares students for professional careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. While it seems to be centralized around business, DECA has something for everyone!

Anyone can join DECA regardless of being interested in business or not! Students who are enrolled in CTE courses are eligible to compete. DECA greatly prepares students with soft skills such as time management, creativity, and problem-solving, through the variety of events offered. These skills are useful for everyone!

Through DECA, you can expand your skillset, gain memorable experiences by advancing in competition and attending conferences, earn a scholarship, and build your network! If you decide not to compete, McNeil DECA hosts several opportunities to meet guest speakers and social events to network with your peers!

You can be eligible to compete if you have 9 points accumulated after the first semester! Points can be earned from attending meetings, drills, and other events we host afterschool, or on weekends.
