Trips & Contests

TAMU Spark - Saturday December 2, 2017

Texas A&M Student Engineers' Council hosts the Spark Competition each year to introduce high school students to Texas A&M and the field of engineering. You will interact with current upper-classmen students studying engineering, and they will give you tours of their departments and the campus as well as direct you through a series of competitions. You can get more detailed information about the day and events at the Student Engineers' Council event page. Although, at this time, information about the specific on-site competitions and the pre-built competition is not available. They do have the schedule of the day as well as a link to register as an individual (if you are NOT registering as part of a team through me). You do not have to pay any money for this competition and will get a t-shirt, lunch, and a fun and educational day in return for a little time investment. RRHS will cover the registration cost and provide a bus for participants. We will leave campus at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2 and stop in Rockdale for breakfast. You will only need to bring money to cover your breakfast on the trip. Everything else is covered.

If you are interested, sign up through my Google form (below). Make sure to fill out all 3 sections and click on SUBMIT at the end. I will handle registering your team. There is no need for you to register individually unless you do not have a team for the pre-built competition. I will update you as more information becomes available.
